With over 80 skus, the product information needed to be displayed in a way that consumers would find easy to navigate. We created a clean, minimal and contemporary design by stripping out all unnecessary details. We also decided to illustrate the pens (rather than use product photography which can often be inconsistent in terms of lighting, quality and perspective) in order to create a cohesive look and feel, resulting in a bold, proud and confident design. There were 2 ranges, premium (which used grey, white and gold tones) and standard (which used the iconic Staples red, white and grey). Project completed while freelance for MAS.</image:caption>

Using people (hands, feet, arms and torsos) within the majority of product shots also gave a human and approachable quality to the products, while in turn giving the macrame a sense of scale. <image:title>Work - Goodradigbee Distillers</image:title>
<image:caption>BRANDING / DESIGN / ARTWORK Goodradigbee Distillers aims to be the first truly contemporary distillery that democratises the age-old traditions surrounding single malts, gin, rum and rye spirits. Rejecting the elitist ideals of old, their (patent pending) single malt cubes and vanes accelerate maturation, meaning premium spirits can be created 3-5 times faster than traditional oak barrels. They’re also disrupting product provenance by creating new taste profiles from whisky matured in Australian hardwoods – Jarrah, Ironbark Yellow and Ironbark Red, which not only provide unique flavours but also colour the whisky itself. The Goodradigbee River winds its way through the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia and was a pure, idyllic, entrancing experience for it’s Founder who used to fish in its crystal clear waters as a boy. The beautifully remote yet accessible river, has guided the essence of Goodradigbee Distillers, therefore capturing the river itself within the logo was crucial. The logo not only forms a cube to reflect the brands unique stance, it’s also designed to help people phonetically pronounce the brand name.</image:caption>

<image:caption>ILLUSTRATION / DESIGN Recommended by a former client at Unilever, I was approached back in 2017 by founder Jeremy Crooks to create the Go! Kidz packaging. A few things were already set, the logo had been created and we were limited to producing labels which had to be applied by hand to the biodegradable packs. Their range of wholesome and nutritious kids meals are packed with veggie goodness (99% of Australian children are not eating enough vegetables, and a quarter are overweight or obese) so we decided to illustrate the veggies and make them the hero of the packaging. Being an Aussie company, we felt it was only right that the characters should wear sunnies! Go! Kidz meals use all-natural Australian ingredients and have no additives, preservatives, flavourings or chemicals.</image:caption>

<image:caption>CONCEPT / BRANDING / DESIGN / ARTWORK The 2017 revamp of The Anchorage Hotel, Australia, saw the creation of new in-house whisky bar, boasting rich mahogany, stone, dark timber, with aged leather, plaid and velvet textures. Taking inspiration from tradition, we named the bar ‘Hemingway’s’ after the late author who was famed for his love of a drop or two. Naturally the design language throughout the brand collateral took lead from Hemingway himself, creating menus which resembled vintage books, reservation cards which looked like old stamped library cards and branded leather bookmarks which were handed out on launch night.</image:caption>

They know exactly what’s going on in the kitchens of the top restaurants and get a kick out of sourcing that one unique product that makes a chef go wild. <image:caption>BRANDING / DESIGN Back in 2018, the brief for these cleanskins was simple, create 3 new wine labels within the themes: 'Optica', 'Las Vegas' and 'Collections'. There were no previous brands, and with the target audience being 21 - 35, they didn’t want the iconography of traditional wine labels. This meant we could be as contemporary, abstract and vibrant as we wanted. The only constraints we had were the need for a paper label with no diecuts.</image:caption>

<image:caption>BRANDING / DESIGN Nestled within in the blossoming meadows of the Oxfordshire countryside, Willow Farm produce high quality organic honeys. Keen to increase their sales within their farm shop stockists, I was tasked with creating a new logo and packaging to enhance their brand presence on shelf.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Work - Smirnoff Ice Zero Sugar</image:title>
<image:caption>DESIGN Redesigning Smirnoff's in market range led us to maximise standout on shelf through a joyfully vibrant, dynamic and confident design with bold expression of flavour. We wanted 'Zero Sugar' to shine while simultaneously amping up the brand's KBA’s in a meaningful way. Executing the brand shield in black allowed us to borrow cues from in market 'zero sugar' expressions and therefore tap into existing consumer perceptions. The large, flavour led 'zero' in the background not only grounds the photography, it also creates a striking, ownable asset. Water refractions and ice add to the notion of 'summer refreshment'. Project completed whilst freelancing with the talented team at Design Bridge and Partners NYC. Other designs in the range include Raspberry, Pink Lemonade and Red, White & Berry.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Work - Bebeconfort Rebrand</image:title>
<image:caption>2020 marked big change for the Bebeconfort brand. The brand lacked a distinctive positioning in the highly competitive juvenile market. To ensure Bebeconfort could successfully expand across wider markets, the challenge was therefore to rebrand in a way that connected deeply and authentically with parents. Cue Amsterdam-based strategic and creative agency The Brave New Now, tasked with this important evolution of the Bebeconfort brand. Together we crafted a new logo and colour palette. We felt it was important to feature the elephant at the core of the new logo (the elephant was originally selected because it is recognised as being protective of its young, and a nurturing parent). Bebeconfort also sold a range of products and soft toys, based on ‘Elidou', an elephant character. A green colour palette was chosen to inspire parents and reflect Dorel’s sustainability credentials. Since the initial brand task, the talented team at TBNN have developed Bebeconfort's strategic brand story, packaging and social posts, to name but a few channels. Dorel Juvenile is now implementing the refreshed brand identity to great success across wider European markets.</image:caption>
